Registration

Please find registration fees and information below.

  • Who Submits the Abstract?
    The Presenting Author must submit the abstract and will act as the main point of contact for the abstract with organisers. Once you enter the online submission portal, start by creating an account. Please keep a record of the account details you use to set up the account as you will require them to log into both the Sheffield Pathology 2024 abstract submission portal and registration portal. Upon successful submission of the abstract a confirmation email will be sent to the Presenting Author. If you have not received a confirmation email, please check that your abstract is not left in draft and is fully submitted by logging back into the portal and checking on the Edit/View Abstracts page.
  • Submission Details Required
    The online abstract submission is a simple step-by-step process and will ask you to input the following details: Abstract title – Capitalise the first letter of each word except if, and, of, the, a, in, on etc. The title must be as brief as possible but long enough to indicate clearly the nature of the study. Title cannot be longer than 20 words. Presentation type – Oral, Poster. Category – chosen from the category list above. Presenting Author – Name, and affiliation of presenting author (this person must be listed as the first author). Co-Authors – Name and affiliation Abstract text – Abstract word limit is 300 words, use abstract headings listed below (word limit includes: headings/references; excludes: title, authors and affiliations) Background Purpose Methods Results Conclusions Additional information Conflict of interest (Do the author(s) have any conflict of interest ) Pathological Society Grant (Was the research supported by a Pathological Society Grant) Previously published/presented (Has your abstract been previously published or will your presentation be given elsewhere prior to the meeting? If so, please give details) Is the Presenting Author an undergraduate? Publication agreement Publication of abstract on website/app agreement Abstract publishing in journal agreement Data consent agreement Contact Name and Email for all Co-Authors
  • How to edit a submitted abstract?
    You can save your submission as a draft and return to edit the submission at a later point. It is important to note that once it has been submitted the abstract cannot be edited after the abstract submission deadline. Ensure that your abstract is not left in draft as it will not be reviewed.
  • Review and Notification of Acceptance
    All abstracts will go through a blind peer-review carried out by reviewers selected by the Sheffield Pathology 2024 Programme Committee. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the submitter the week commencing 15 April 2024.
  • Registration of the Abstract Presenter
    When notified of acceptance, the Presenting Author is required to accept the offer by registering for the meeting and paying in full before the meeting. You will be provided with a link to register at this rate in your acceptance email.

Early Bird Registration 

Early Bird Registration will apply until 13th May 2024.

 

Standard Registration

Standard Registration will apply from 14th May 2024 until 4th June 2024.

Late Registration 

Late Registration will apply from 5th June 2024 until 16th June 2024 when registration will close. 

Registration includes:

  • Refreshments, including lunch on the day(s) you are registered

  • Attendance to all main conference sessions on the day(s) you are registered

  • Access to poster sessions and exhibition area on the day(s) you are registered

  • Access to the conference app

  • Attendance at the welcome reception, held in The Wave on 18th June

Payment is required upon registration. We accept payment by card only. All payments made must be in Sterling (£).

Bursaries

Grants are available for undergraduate students, post-graduate students and pathology trainees who are members of the society.
